For more than 20 years, Gennifer Biggs has crafted distinctive communications ranging from journalism to corporate messaging — and everything in between. As the owner of Generate Marketing & Communications, she uses her experience as a highly experienced and results-oriented corporate communications leader to help clients create and execute effective communications strategies supported by dynamic content across multiple platforms.
Most recently, Biggs served as the U.S. marketing communications lead for Ingram Micro, the world’s largest technology distributor. After joining that team in March 2013, she was responsible for the strategic development and execution of Ingram Micro’s strategic messaging and communications, as well as establishing processes and policies to support U.S. communication efforts both internal and external.
Prior to joining Ingram Micro, Biggs provided public relations, social media and print communications consulting tailored for the IT industry through her own business; offered authoritative advice to IT resellers via her daily cloud computing blog; and served as director of channel communications for WhiteFox Marketing, a boutique PR firm in Southern California. Biggs’ other experience includes extensive work in higher education, advertising and public relations, and nearly a decade spent as a newspaper reporter in Chicago.
Biggs earned her Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1991. She lives in Erie, PA, where she is an avid community volunteer, and currently serves as the vice president of the Erie Art Museum Board of Directors. She spends her downtime scuba diving, kayaking, snowshoeing and relaxing with her two dogs.
